EVSE Australia Mini Portable Charger (15A)
Covers most BYD Seal commutes overnight on a dedicated 15 A or 20 A outlet.
From the Dolphin hatch to the Shark 6 ute, BYD's range covers very different batteries. Plug-in hybrids fill overnight on any power point; the Seal takes longer.
The BYD Seal uses the Type 2 inlet, so any Type 2 portable charger fits. On a dedicated 15 A outlet a BYD Seal (larger battery) (about 82.5 kWh) goes from 20% to 80% in about 15.9 hours; on a standard 10 A power point it takes about 23.9 hours. Most owners top up overnight instead.

No. Powerboards and extension leads aren't built for hours of continuous load. Plug the charger straight into the wall, and stop if the plug or outlet feels hot.
